Buses are also a quite handy transport method but it consumes more time than the train or taxi, and buses might take around four hours to reach Hikkaduwa from Colombo. The distance from Colombo to Hikkaduwa is 98 kilometres. If you start the journey from Galle the distance to Hikkaduwa is 19 kilometres.
